Floating Planes

The concept for this house centers around a connection to the terrain and mountain ranges afar, and a reconnection to nature. The architecture consists of a series of planes rising out of the ground, depicting the mountains’ terraces. Built of polished concrete, these planes impart an earthy, heavy feel, sitting on light-painted and cement rendered brick or glass wall. At night, uplighting these planes imparts a cloud-like effect like those seen at the mountains‘ peak. The sliding and foldable glazing connects indoor and outdoor living, which includes a naturally cleaning swimming pool. The house is rooted in its natural context and sustainability, offering luxury modern living comfort and affordability.
